Fade Out™ follows strict industry and government guidelines to ensure that every ingredient in each of our formulas has been thoroughly safety tested and approved for use. In addition, our product development teams continuously monitor the scientific literature, as well as reports from our customers and retailers, to ensure that our products are at the leading edge of safety as well as performance.

What is our stance on animal testing?
Fade Out™ does not test on animals. We believe animal testing is not required to prove the safety and effectiveness of our products.
Is Fade Out™ suitable for vegans?
Fade Out™ is a vegan friendly brand which does not use any animal derivatives or bi-products in our formulations.
Is Fade Out™ packaging recyclable?
We are actively committed to reducing our environmental footprint. Our outer cardboard cartons are 100% recyclable, and we are continually transitioning our product components, such as our glass jars, to materials that can be easily processed in standard household recycling.
Please check your local council's recycling guidelines for plastic lids, pumps, and components.

Where are Fade Out™ products made?
All Fade Out™ products are developed and manufactured in the UK.
Is Fade Out™ suitable for all skin tones?
Yes. Fade Out™ formulations have been tested across all six Fitzpatrick skin types and are designed to support all skin tones.
What causes hyperpigmentation?
Hyperpigmentation can be caused by sun exposure, hormonal changes, post-inflammatory marks left behind by acne or skin irritation, ageing, and certain medications. Fade Out™ products are designed to help visibly reduce the appearance of these concerns.
How long does it take to see results from Fade Out™?
Most people begin to notice improvements in skin brightness and evenness within 4 weeks of daily use, although deeper pigmentation concerns such as melasma or long-standing dark spots may take longer. Consistency and daily SPF use are key to achieving the best results
How long can I use Fade Out™ for?
Fade Out™ products are safe to use as part of your everyday skincare routine and can be used for as long as required. Our treatment day and night moisturisers are formulated with active ingredients that deliver visible results whilst hydrating and soothing the skin barrier. If you’re using Fade Out™ to help resolve issues like Post Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation, sun spots or Melasma, we recommended trialling us daily for a minimum of 4 weeks for optimal results.
Will Fade Out™ prevent pigmentation from returning?
Exposure to UVA and UVB rays can exacerbate (and even cause) pigmentation. Whatever your skin tone or type, daily application of SPF will help protect against sun damage and premature ageing. Fade Out™ treatment day creams contain a broad spectrum SPF but they should not be used as a primary sunscreen.
Can Fade Out™ products be used on other parts of the body?
Fade Out creams can be used on other areas of skin. Pigmentation can often appear on the hands, décolletage, neck and shoulders.
When using any new product, we recommend first carrying out a patch test by applying Fade Out to a small area of skin behind the ears and waiting 48hrs. If any reaction occurs, rinse well, seek medical advice and do not continue use. Fade Out is for external use only and not recommended for use on intimate areas.
Can I use Fade Out™ if I have sensitive skin?
Fade Out™ products are formulated to be gentle, however we always recommend carrying out a patch test before first use. Some users may experience mild tingling due to the active ingredients.
Do your products contain parabens, sulphates, or artificial colours?
No. We believe in high-performance skincare that respects your skin’s long-term health. All Fade Out products are formulated without parabens, harsh sulphates, or artificial colourants, ensuring your skin gets only the clean, active nourishment it needs to thrive.
What is the shelf life of your products?
Unopened, our products have a shelf life of up to 3 years. Once opened, you should look for the PAO (Period After Opening) symbol on the back of your jar or bottle (it looks like a tiny open jar with a number inside). Most of our face creams are best used within 12 months of opening to ensure the active ingredients remain highly effective.
Why is SPF important when treating pigmentation?
UV exposure is one of the biggest contributors to pigmentation and can cause existing dark spots to become darker. Daily SPF helps protect your progress and prevent pigmentation from returning.

Which Fade Out™ product should I start with?
For customers new to the brand, the Advanced Brightening Day & Night routine is often the best place to start if pigmentation and uneven skin tone are the primary concerns.
Which Fade Out™ range is right for me?
All of our ranges feature our hero brightening ingredient, Niacinamide, but each is tailored to support a different skin story:
- Advanced Brightening: Our core range, ideal for targeting stubborn dark spots, sun damage, and intense unevenness.
- Pure Glow: Infused with Vitamin C and Pink Pomelo to maximize skin radiance and fight dullness.
- Collagen Boost: Pairs brightening tech with Pro-Collagen Peptides to plump, firm, and tackle early signs of aging.
- Anti-Wrinkle: Formulated with Hyaluronic Acid to intensely hydrate and smooth out fine lines.

Can I use products from different Fade Out™ ranges together?
Yes. Many customers combine products from different ranges to target multiple skincare concerns.
Can I use Fade Out™ products if I am pregnant or breastfeeding?
Yes! Unlike many hyperpigmentation treatments on the market that rely on hydroquinone or high-strength retinoids, all Fade Out formulas are completely safe to use during pregnancy and while breastfeeding. We focus on gentle, plant-based and scientifically proven brightening actives like Niacinamide and Lactic Acid, making our ranges ideal for managing pregnancy-induced melasma or dark spots.
Note: If your skin has become hyper-sensitive during pregnancy, we always recommend consulting your doctor or midwife before introducing new products.
Can I use Fade Out with other active ingredients like Retinol or Vitamin C?
Yes, but timing is everything. Because several of our ranges (like the Original or Advanced lines) contain mild AHAs like Lactic Acid to renew the skin surface, layering multiple strong exfoliants at the exact same time can cause irritation.
- For Retinol: We suggest using your external Retinol treatments at night and alternating them with your Fade Out creams.
- For Vitamin C: Apply your external Vitamin C serum in the morning before layering your Fade Out Day Cream. Alternatively, try our Pure Glow range, which already expertly pairs stable Vitamin C and Niacinamide together!
Will Fade Out™ products clog my pores?
Yes. Our moisturisers and serums are formulated to be deeply hydrating yet lightweight and easily absorbed. They are highly suitable for those dealing with post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation as they help fade existing discoloration without triggering new blemishes.
Is Fade Out™ a bleaching product?
No. We vehemently oppose skin bleaching and champion skin tone inclusivity across our business. Our expertise lies in treating unwanted pigmentation – a natural part of ageing that is sometimes unfairly exacerbated by lifestyle choices, hormones, sun exposure and medication. Our brightening formula is tested for efficacy on all 6 shades of the Fitzpatrick Scale, the medical numerical classification scheme for human skin colour.
Is it normal for my skin to tingle when applying Fade Out™ creams?
You may experience some mild tingling when you start using some Fade Out™ products. Our treatment creams for day and night contain active ingredients such Lactic Acid which is a gentle AHA that works to exfoliate and remove dead skin cells to help reveal a brighter skin complexion. As your skin becomes accustomed to the new products, the effects will lessen over time.
Mild tingling is normal to experience when using Fade Out™ and is a sign that the product is working. However, if the tingling persists or worsens, or a reaction occurs, rinse well with water, seek medical advice and do not continue use.
What does Niacinamide do for the skin?
Niacinamide helps improve uneven skin tone, reduce the appearance of pigmentation, support the skin barrier and improve moisture retention. It is a key ingredient throughout the Fade Out™ ranges.
What is White Mulberry and why is it used in Fade Out™?
White Mulberry is used in the Advanced Brightening range to help target uneven pigmentation and support a brighter, more balanced complexion.
Why does Fade Out™ contain Lactic Acid?
Lactic Acid is a gentle exfoliating acid that helps remove dead skin cells and encourage cell turnover, revealing brighter, smoother-looking skin.
Orders & Deliveries
Has my order been shipped?
You will receive a shipment email confirmation when your order has been dispatched.
How much does delivery cost?
UK Standard Delivery is £4.50 or free on orders over £20. We currently only ship within the UK. For International customers, please contact us for details of your nearest stockist.
All our UK orders are sent out via Whistl. Please allow up to 3-5 working days from the time the goods leave our warehouse.
Tracking information will be made available to you directly from the courier so that you can follow the progress of your delivery. This option does not guarantee delivery on a specific date. Goods will be left in a safe location if you are not available to receive the delivery.
How long will my order take to arrive?
Your order will reach you within 3-5 working days, aside from in times of severe weather conditions or exceptional circumstances.
Delivery charges are per order. An order can be delivered to one address only. If you require to send orders to multiple addresses you will need to place a separate order for each address.
Orders are processed and shipped on working days only (Monday through Friday, excluding bank holidays).
Can I cancel my order?
If you wish to customise or cancel your order, please get in touch and we will be happy to help. If your order is still pending, we will be able to help before it ships.
Returns
How do I return or exchange a product?
We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If you wish to return an item, we are happy to accept returns subject to the conditions below.
Eligibility for Returns
• Items must be returned within 30 days of receiving your order.
• Products must be unused and in their original packaging.
• We reserve the right to refuse returns that do not meet these conditions.
How do I arrange a return?
If you would like to return your order, please contact us at contactus@fadeout.com within 14 days of receiving your order. Our customer service team will provide instructions on how to proceed.
Please note that we do not offer free returns. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the item is faulty.
Can I return on order purchased in-store?
Unfortunately, we are unable to process returns or provide support for orders purchased from any of our retail partners. If you purchased your item from a retailer or another website, please contact the store or website directly in accordance with their returns policy.

What are the benefits of subscription?
Subscribe, save and stay stocked!
There's no need to spend time placing repeat orders or entering your payment details as we do the admin for you! Plus, we'll also give you 10% off every subscription order to make sure you always get the best value for money.
Is there a minimum term I need to sign up for?
No. Our subscriptions are completely in your control. You can pause, skip or cancel at any time.
How do I pay for my subscription?
You provide your payment details when placing your first order and we will automatically deduct from your nominated payment method when sending your subscription orders.
How do I pause, skip or cancel my subscription?
You can control your subscription from your customer account settings once logged in.
What if I forget to cancel?
We'll send you a reminder email a few days before every subscription renews, giving you the chance to cancel or change your subscription.
Can I choose how often I receive my subscription products?
Yes. We offer the choice of 4 weeks, 8 weeks or 12 weeks for our subscription frequency. Please choose the one that suits you best. If you need to change your delivery frequency at any point, just cancel your existing subscription and place a new one with the desired frequency.
Can I have multiple products in my subscription?
Yes. As long as you subscribe to multiple products in the same initial order, these will all be included in your subscription. If you have an existing subscription and would like to add more products, please cancel the existing subscription and place a new subscription order for the products you would like.
Do I get a discount on my subscription?
Yes! We offer 10% on every subscription order. That includes your first order and all subsequent orders.
Can I use promotional discount codes on subscription orders?
No. Like most websites, we only allow one discount per order therefore please choose to use your promotional code on a non subscription order.
